fuck bumbershoot

I am SO mad! I bought these three day passes to Bumbershoot specifically so we can see Band of Horses last night (there are other great bands the next two days, but I really wanted to rock out to "No One's Gonna Love You"). Unfortunately, we got double booked that day and had to go to PAX first. We saw the new WoW expansion, can't wait and hung out with a bunch of our old friends from the industry. Pax is turning into the new E3, but with 100% more consumers. We got outta there at 6pm and went to Bumbershoot. When we checked in at the gate, they told us all the tickets for the main stage are given out already. I paid well over $160 for two tickets to see bands play, but I guess I needed to be there by 10am to get another set of tickets to see the main stage acts? FUCK THAT. Needless to say we missed Band of Horses and Beck. Tonight is The Black Keys and Stone Temple Pilots, which Jersey really wanted to see and tomorrow is Superchunk and Death Cab for Cutie, but who knows if we can get in!
I got no pictures for this post other than a fallen bird's nest I found in my front yard.

big sur anniversary

This month was our 1 year anniversary of marriage! We celebrated it where we got married, in Big Sur.
We were sad to see most of the national parks and mountains scorched.

We stopped by the place we got married, The Henry Miller Library, to visit the manager, Magnus. He informed us that everyone is now worried about mud slides and the whole area will be evacuated by mid October. You are in our thoughts Big Sur! We hope you all survive!

There wasn't a lot of trails we could walk, due to the fire, but we did see some wonderful sites.

We stayed at Post Ranch Inn, in a lower coastal house. It was magical! During the day, the ocean was below and at night the stars were scattered and the Milky Way visible.

Our wedding last year had to have been the best party I have ever thrown and participated in! We wished that we could have done it again with all of our friends and family, but it was nice to be together alone for our 1 year reflection. I love you Jersey!!!

peter and pradipta

Our dear friends Peter and Dip got married this week. We were lucky enough to see Peter looking so handsome in his tux and Dip looking gorgeous in her qipoa. Both their friends and family were super nice. They had their celebration at Sam's Chowder House in Half Moon Bay. Sorry our flight got in so late, Peter and Dip! We had a great time!!!!!

queen anne house

Yeah! We got a new cable for the camera! I will start blogging again. Here is a picture of our house in Seattle. It looks really cute, too bad it's not for me. I can't complain though, it keeps us dry and the cats are happy. We live in a neighborhood in Seattle called Queen Anne. Our next door neighbors are the lovely Karen, Tom, Clara, and Murphy dog.

bambino is a bambina!

We are having a little girl and naming her Kaia Miette. Kaia means ocean, which was the very first thing I ever remember seeing as a baby and I fell in love with being near the sea. Miette means "little crumb" in French. She's a part of me, so she is my crumb, also one of my favorite bakeries in San Fran is Miette. They did most of our wedding cakes and our wedding favors last year. (Thank you Vanessa!)

Sorry I haven't been posting, we still haven't located my USB cord to download pictures off the camera and Jersey bought a new one that doesn't work!
